Due to an expanding order book here at A Fawcett Precision Engineering Ltd we have a vacancy for a CNC turner to work in our small sub contract precision engineering company.
This is a full time role and the ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming and operating XYZ CNC machines.
We are looking for:
- Proficiency in CNC setting, programming and operating
- Preferably apprentice trained
- Work from engineering drawings to produce accurate components
- Conversational programming using Siemen’s controls would be an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds
- Knowledge of quality control processes including inspection and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a precision engineering manufacturing environment
